20 years of innovation!

This May 2026, Goal Sport Tech celebrates two decades of developing technology for sports arenas. 20 years helping sport arenas transform AV infrastructures into connected and intelligent control systems.

What started in 2006 as a hardware integration company gradually evolved into a software-driven ecosystem for live sports operations, shaped by years of on-site experience and development.

Beginning as HW integrators

The company was founded in Brno, Czech Republic, in 2006 under the name Daite. Originally, our team operated as hardware integrators for sports venues, delivering LED boards, media cubes, replay systems, scoreboards and other sorts of AV installations.

Working directly inside stadiums gave us a deep understanding of live events and the challenges of managing so many different technologies at once.

As sports production went digital, clients needed a simple, centralized way to control all of these systems. They also wanted setup to be easy, without needing a separate person to run every single device. This inspired Goal Sport Tech to start developing its own software solutions.

Software Developing

Goal Sport Tech expanded into software development to better connect and control stadium AV systems. Years of experience implementing LED screens and scoreboards revealed the need for more flexible, integrated solutions tailored specifically for sports venues.

Built around real operational workflows, the company developed timekeeper, live switcher, replay, and playout software. These solutions were later delivered as integrated systems, allowing the company to further develop specialized solutions for controlling scoreboards, LED perimeter boards, and other stadium technologies.

The Video Officiating Era

As video officiating became a standard in professional sports, Goal Sport Tech expanded into review and referee technologies.

The company first developed video judge systems for ice hockey in 2013 and later participated in the early stages of VAR implementation for football during FIFA’s introduction of the program. The first VAR deployment was completed in 2018, followed by FIFA Basic certification for VAR in 2021.

Since then, Goal Sport Tech has also obtained FIFA certifications for VAR Light and VOL (Virtual Offside Lines). Today, its solutions support video officiating workflows across multiple sports and international competitions.

Worldwide growth

Goal Sport Tech quickly evolved into a global technology partner for system integrators, stadiums, federations, and broadcasters worldwide.

Today, its technologies are installed in more than 200 arenas across 5 continents, supporting multiple sports disciplines with solutions covering venue control, live production, and video officiating.

We’ll keep moving forward, playing to win, with new features and technologies.
