Ipswich Town FC Debuts In-House LED Control System at Portman Road

The summer of 2025 marked a major milestone at Portman Road as Ipswich Town FC officially went live with its newly deployed LED control system.

This production system, designed specifically for the club’s in-house operations and powered by Goal Sport Tech, places a core focus on AV content delivery and gives Ipswich Town full control of its stadium LED displays. The project — more than a year in the making — is centred on a solution that integrates playout, replay, and timekeeping into one seamless software suite, ensuring an efficient and effortless workflow.

Working closely with the club’s digital team, Goal Sport Tech developed the system now in use for managing every perimeter board, scoreboard, stadium screen, and big screen inside the stadium. Following extensive testing during U21 fixtures, the system successfully went live for Ipswich Town’s opening Championship clash against Southampton.

For the first time, the club has full autonomy over its digital display production, enabling smoother operations, greater flexibility, and enhanced creative freedom to deliver a matchday experience that serves supporters, partners, and the club alike.
