2026 Q2 Product Updates
The second quarter of 2026 has been packed with product releases across the Goal Sport software suite. From next-generation GS Playout and GS Replay to major releases, deployment of highly requested features, and meaningful improvements. Here’s what’s new and what’s next:
GS Playout 3 is here — and it's ready to show you what's possible
After years of development, we are proud to announce that GS Playout 3 has reached its first stable release milestone and is ready for demos. This is the most ambitious software we have ever built at Goal Sport Tech, and the wait has been worth it. GS Playout 3 brings a completely new level of control and flexibility to your broadcast workflow:
- Director's View — Real-time overview of all content playing across every output, with the ability to change layers on the fly without missing a beat.
- Scalable client-server architecture — Support for multiple clients and I/O servers, scaling with the demands of your operation.
- Live screen layout changes — Restructure your screen layout mid-broadcast with zero downtime.
- Web client — Take Playout 3 with you on any mobile phone or tablet and trigger scenes from the launch grid wherever you are.
We know many of you have been following this project closely, and now we would like to show it to you in person. Let's discuss how Playout 3 can do for your workflow.
GS Replay NG — live cutting and replay in one tool, ready for demo
The new generation of GS Replay combines two workflows into a single product: live camera cutting and replay & clip creation. GS Replay New Generation has reached its MVP milestone, and we are ready to show it to you.
- Parallel software and ATEM switcher cutting — Choose the workflow that fits your team's needs. Use our software-based cutting, integrate with your ATEM switcher, or combine both depending on the situation.
- Client-server architecture with role-based clients — Multiple clients can run simultaneously with different responsibilities. One operator handles live switching, while another focuses entirely on creating clips to play during the break — all from the same system.
- Clip export for highlights — After the final whistle, export your clips and assemble a highlights package without any additional tools.
GS Video Referee 4 — new major release
GS Video Referee 4 is our latest major release, bringing long-requested features and UX improvements to the VAR workflow.
- Live preview during VOL creation — The process of creating a VOL now includes a live preview directly on the VAR and AVAR monitors. This has been one of the most requested features from our customers and is now ready for deployment.
- Touch control for VAR/AVAR — First demonstrated at IBC last year, touch control is now ready for production. VAR and AVAR operators can pinch to zoom, maximize an input, or reorder cameras directly on the touchscreen. Please note this feature requires an OS and hardware upgrade.
- Simplified operator interface — The separate VAR and AVAR tabs have been removed in favour of a single Operator tab, with clearer indications of which cameras are shown for VAR and AVAR at any given time. We believe this makes the day-to-day workflow more intuitive.
GS Video Review — stability improvements and new features
Over the past few months, we have focused on improving the overall stability of Goalsport Review. At the same time, we are preparing a larger release that will bring a multi-camera view — more on that soon. In the current release:
- Seeking between Timekeeper events — When connected to a Timekeeper server, an automark is created automatically for each event — timeouts, goals, penalties, and more. You can jump between these marks with a single button press, making it much faster to locate key moments during or after the game.
- Automatic server discovery — Just like in Timekeeper 4, Review now scans your local network and lists available servers in settings. No need to enter IP addresses manually — especially useful if you move between multiple servers or setups.
GS Timekeeper 4 — now available
GS Timekeeper 4 is our latest major release, bringing meaningful improvements to reliability and day-to-day usability.
- Improved main-backup server switching — Reduced probability of downtime during switchover, keeping your game clock running when it matters most.
- Automatic server discovery — Timekeeper now scans your local network and presents a list of available servers directly in settings. No need to manually enter IP addresses — especially useful if you move clients between multiple servers or setups.
- Multiple pre-game phases — If your sport or competition format requires more than one pre-game phase, Timekeeper 4 now supports this out of the box.
