GS VAR Software in use by the Slovak Federation of Football.

GS VAR technology was deployed to the Slovak Football Association -SFZ in 2019. This project started with the implantation of a VAR training center in Senec, Slovakia, which is used for the testing and preparation of referees to the professional standards of VAR technology. The video assistant referee system was designed in conjunction with the board of Slovak Referees to achieve all the specific requirements of the system including the implementation of a control room at SFZ's National Training Center. Later in 2020, by the demand of training and use in official matches during the major Slovak football league - Super Liga - our team designed and equipped OB trucks for VAR operation. Additionally were included the external RRA - Referee Review Area - an integrated review station engineered in a portable booth.

The system is designed with the capacity for operation in all the football stadiums included in the Super Liga. The control software which manages the camera angles and provides the video content for reviewing is developed by Goal Sport Software, which also installed the software and hardware, performed in this project technical services of cabling, training and calibration of cameras in all the stadiums.

Goal Sport Technology has been working with the Slovak Football Federation (SFZ) for more than three years. Our VAR solution plugs in alongside the OB Trucks going to every stadium, giving video referees all the tools and environment they need to review critical in-game situations. Goal Sport’s VAR software system, including the one used by SFZ, has been approved by FIFA for use in football matches globally.
